ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF “AMTI” HELD AT SEVA KENDRA, KOLKATTA
It was the month of September and we received an invitation from AMTI inviting us to be a part of the annual conference. Delighted we were, yet we had our own apprehensions.
Having heard from our friends their exciting experience the previous year, we started with enthusiasim to Calcutta.
To our surprise, it was much more than our expectation-be it accommodation, arrangements other lectures and presentations.
More than teachers, it was students who came out with lots of ideas to present through power point.
Ranging from recreational mathematics to rational quadrilaterals, all the presentations were informative. We too had an opportunity to give a presentation on ‘ gratifying griddlers’ – a logical puzzle similar to sudoku.
A few children had better methods to suggest in place of Duekworth – louise method where they have taken the batsman’s batting record also into consideration.
The next important task on hand was to share our experience with our friends and incorporate certain concepts in our 2011-12 academic plan.
