On school’s reopening day,


“I’m not in the mood” I say.


It really seems very different,


To school we’re suddenly sent.


We were free for many days,


We had fun in so many ways.


We had fun for months numbered to two,


Everything just seems so new.


We reach school by 9 in the morning,


And be back by 4 in the evening.


Quite hectic the schedules getting’,


We do our homework once the sun is settin’.


We’ve got to get back to our routine,


And our book shelf is to be clean.


We’ve got to keep ourselves healthy,


Study well and become wealthy.


We’ve got to stop having treats.


For everyone, the test greets.


For tests we have to read,


Which sows success’ seed.


This is how it happens every year,


‘Cause that’s the way it’s here.
