The Dawn of Papyrus club in SJIRS….

Papyrus club is an initiative from The Deccan Chronicle and Netlink Technologies to enable schools and colleges to publish their own online newspapers. It offers substantial opportunities for the students in the areas of personality development, confidence building teamwork, creative expression and language skills. It helps the students who are shy to expose their talents to come out as the Gen-X students are more familiar with working online.
And now SJIRS is proud to be a part of this large family of knowledge seekers and information givers. SJIRS launched the Papyrus club with Mr.H.Samsudeen, program executive of Netlink technologies and also with our dear Principal’s and Vice Principal’s presence. Excitement ceased to fade on the faces of the members of this newly formed club.
The inauguration started with the calling of the Almighty’s presence as our choir group rendered a special number and a special prayer. Mast.Chiranjit, the chosen chief editor of the papyrus club rendered the welcome address.This was followed by the inspiring message of our dear Principal who spoke about the importance of cooperation and team work in such initiatives.
After this came the much awaited training session by Mr.Samsudeen who made it as interesting and as precise as possible and got the message straight to our brains. Mentioning exactly where to start and how to end, he gave us a crystal clear picture of what papyrus club was and our part in this club. After a long time of pondering we came up with the name,� The Authentic Bulletin� for our magazine.
The day ended with great excitement on the faces of the club members and also great curiosity on the faces of the other students. It seemed like the whole school was talking about this newly initiated club in school.
