Summer Vacation
I, a huge fan of holidays enjoyed my summer vacation a lot, as I had got a good percentage in the 9th. My parents allowed me to enjoy my holidays without any restrictions. I played a lot with my friends, watched a lot of television, had long sleeps but also studied during my 60 days long vacation. Like every student, I too was keen to go to school after my summer vacation. After a long wait, June 2nd finally arrived-the day my school reopened. I had been excited all summer, but when the first day arrived, I was petrified. I woke up very early that day and started thinking of everything I used to do in school. I knew school as always was going to be a lot of fun but I was also nervous and scared of the heavy load of studies in the 10th.
I then got ready for school, took the blessings of my parents and went to my 2nd house, my school. As soon as I entered Shiksha Sagar, I met all my dear, very caring, joyful and bubbly friends. We all started telling each other stories of what we did in our holidays. It was really awesome and I was feeling very happy being with them again. Then our school bell rang and we told our school prayer. After this, our Principal gave us a speech, in which she mainly told us to study well, behave well and always be disciplined and punctual. It was a very inspiring speech and it made me feel that school had finally started. We entered our new class and it was an amazing class. As we were in the 10th, our class was very special when compared to the rest. Our very friendly and inspiring teachers then came to our class and told us to be disciplined and to study well this year. We also shared our summer vacation experiences with them. They then reminded us that this was our 10th and was no joke. They told us to work really hard on our studies this year because we had to write our board exam and this exam is a life setting exam. I, personally was petrified and was getting scared and so were my friends. As some of my class mates and myself had got a very good result in the 9th,our teachers wanted us to continue the same and be the toppers of the board exam which made us even more nervous and we felt pressurized. But our lovely and caring teachers told us that we should not be intimidated by the studies of the 10th and should work extremely hard this year and get a very good result. They also told us various methods which could help us to get a very good result in the 10th. This made all of us fearless because we knew that if we follow what are teachers tell us, we all could would never go wrong and could get a good result. Our teachers’ words inspired us and we were now ready for the 10th. My friends and I then enjoyed and had lots of fun in class. Finally school's first day came to an end.
The first day of school was a day of mixed feelings. Though I was happy to meet all my near and dear ones, I was also very scared because this year there was a huge load of studies which I had to carry. My teachers and parents had high expectations from me that I will be a topper of the board exam which put me under a lot pressure. I will not let them down and I know that I will study really well. In the end it was a very fun filled, enjoyable and inspiring day for me. It was a memorable day for me and I will remember it forever.
