Space Research & Travel
We are living in a space age. Man has invented many things and made our life comfortable. The Ancient Man wished to go to the Moon. The desire in him made new discoveries in the field of space.
Exploration of and expansion into outer space is yet one more step towards Mankind’s Ultimate Progress. MAN’S THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE AND HIS CURIOSITY TO UNRAVEL THE MYSTERIES OF NATURE, HIS EXTERNAL QUEST FOR PERFECTION – These are the drives behind Space Research.
Now-a-days Space Research is not only expensive but they should also have treasure of space knowledge. So, many countries are seeing Space Research as a difficult task. Only few countries have guts to involve in Space Research without any ones help.
In this list the first and foremost country in America:
It has the World’s Biggest Space Organisation “NASA”.
America is spending seventy thousand seven hundred and thirty crores per year for Space Research
The second one is Russia:
Fifty years ago it had started its Space Research by launching Sputnik in space. The Space Research was started in name of “Russian Patrol Space Agency” a budget of four thousand crores. Russia is the first country who dared to announce. TOUR TO SPACE at the cost of Rs. Ninety Crores.
Next to Russia, it is China who sent man in space. The Budget of Space Project costs Rs. Four thousand five hundred crores.
Fourthly it is Japan who started to involve in Space Research. Its yearly budget cost is Rs. Six thousand five hundred and eighty crores. To observe the weather it has even sent Advanced Land Observing Satellite
India is the fifth country who had stepped into the Space Research. The Space Research Organisation of India is ISRD. ISRD was providing space products in an Economic State.
Space Travel is considered as an impossible feat; some years back it has become reality. Several nations are periodically sending space crafts for various reasons.
Once man succeeds in flying in the Sky, his next aim will be to conquer Space.
The Russian’s sent up the first man made satellite Sputnik into space in 1957. Another Space Craft with a dog named Laika was sent into space by the Russians, yet another was sent up with test animals on board. These were followed by the launching of the first geophysical laboratory.
In 1961, Yuri Gagarin, the Russian Cosmonaut created history by entering Space. The giant leap for mankind happened on July 21st 1969, when Niel Armstrong and Edurn Aldrin landed on the moon; they walked on the moon in their Lunar Module, after collecting the rocks they returned to Earth. A few months later women astronauts took part in the space flights, they spent several hours in the space crafts, subjecting themselves to various tests, Rakesh Sharma is the first Indian Astronaut to go to Space. Kalpana Chawla followed suit and made history by achieving the rare feat of traveling in space by dint of her sheer determination and hard work. She clocked an incredible 760 hours in Space, chased the globe half way to touch the starts, from her girlhood days. She dreamt of becoming an Astronaut. She made Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam’s words true (i.e.) “All great achievements start with a dream”.
Benefits of Space Research & Space Travel
Things which were considered as Luxurious have become comfort. Comforts are considered as necessities.
God has gifted man with the Sixth Sense. He ought to reason out matters good for humanity. Space Travel and Space Research have become necessary for the present day world.
Knowledge is Vast. We know only a speck in the ocean. Progress in research, new findings show that the world isn’t stagnant but it is progressing. It is space travel and space research that help us get to know all about the Earth and the Cosmos.
We are born free but everywhere we are in chains. Science is one of such chains which we cannot or need not break.
