The Mother’s Integral School celebrated its “Sports Meet” as a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations on 4th December,2010 at the Uppal Municipal Grounds. Dr.K.Narasiah, President of the AP Sports School was the chief guest. The day started with the kindling ceremony (Torch lighting ceremony). Simultaneously the participants of 4 houses (Maheshwari, Mahakali, Mahasaraswathi & Mahalakshmi) went around the ground greeting the audience led by their mentors who were dressed according to their group. The programme continued with the ceremonial “March Past”, followed by a dance invoking Lord Ganesha. Fancy races were held for the students of VI to X class. The boys and girls enjoyed thoroughly participating in these races. Aerobics by high school children was very energetic and vibrant. “Bharatiyam” brought out the patriotic fervour in everyone. The pyramids formed by the boys, different formations with hoops, the peacock formation by girls and the 25metre National Flag by children were a visual treat to the audience. The programme concluded with a tribute to The Mother by the X class girls in a dance form ‘dandia’. The staff too joined the students to form the “Mother’s Symbol” with illuminated diyas. Singing Idol “KARUNYA” walked in as a surprise guest enthralling the audience. He sang a few songs at the students’ request. He gave away the rolling shields to the children. The chief guest Dr.Narasaiah gave away the prizes to the winners of the fancy races.
