GIS celebrated the 54th Karnataka Rajyotsava on the 3rd of November. Rajyotsava programme started with Mr. Ramesh, our Kannada Teacher, welcoming GIS staff and students. Thereafter, Mrs Maithili spoke on the importance of celebrating Rajyotsava in Kannada which was translated by Mrs. Latha Verghese in English for all present. Then students, who are learning Kannada as a 2nd and 3rd language, presented “Senaa Balavoo; Diva Balavoo”, a mythological skit. This was followed by the State Anthem sung by the teachers. The programme, which highlighted Karnataka’s uniqueness in the Indian Federation, was applauded by the Principal and all present.
