A HOMAGE

THE EVENT THAT CHANGED THE COURSE OF HISTORY - THE SCHOOL PAID HOMAGE TO THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE BOMBING OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI
On the 6th of August, 2009, we, the students of Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, paid our due respects to the victims of the deadliest blasts in the history of wars. Shweta Kurian of Class IX A presented before us, a talk on these blasts. In her speech, she highlighted the tragic consequences of the dropping of the atom bomb and the horrors of which are felt till date. Two students from each class lit candles in remembrance of the innocent lives lost, and to create an understanding among the students.
