Primary Sports Day

The Primary Sports Meet of Anna Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School was held on 3oth July ,
2010. The Guests of Honour were Dr.SUMANTH . C. RAMAN, senior anchor, sports commentator and
journalist and Mr.ATUL NANGIA, member, Punjab Association.

A pageantry by tiny tots holding placards on 'go green' enthralled one and all.
'Everyday is Earthday'
'Go green, think green and eat green'
'The Earth is yours, Save it!'
'Nature is the art of God'
---were some of the impressive placards.

A spectacular march past followed the stunning show by our tiny tots.

Our beloved Principal Mrs.JAYALAKSHMI RAMACHANDRAN addressed the gathering. Our Primary
Co-Ordinator Mrs.C.SHASHIKALA introduced the Guests of Honour.The Chief Guest took the salute and
hoisted the school flag and declared the Sports Meet 'open'.

The oath was taken by the Primary School Pupil Leader N.Aarthi to abide by the school rules and
to respect the glory of sports.

The chief guest Dr.Sumanth.C.Raman addressed the gathering and advised the students to take part
in various sports activities. He also congratulated the school faculties for the wonderful organisation of the
sports meet.

Next,the students of IV and V performed a physical display using chessboards as props and the
theme song was"Waka Waka".

Humorous and unusual events like passing the ball, sac race, obstacle race, lemon spoon etc. were
conducted for students. These events helped the little ones to develop their sport skills.

The chief guests distributed prizes to the winners of KG ,Primary and High School Department.

The cultural programme's theme was based on the importance of 5 kinds of land and water forms in
India--Kurinji,Mullai, Marutham, Neidhal and Paalai. The dance also featured the theme song of World Tamil
Conference 2010.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by our physical directress---Mrs.ANITA.K.BEEDU. The Chief guest
Mr.Atul Nangia delivered the Valedictory Address and lowered the flag. The spectacular show ended with the
Natinal Anthem.

To end, the school is fortunate enough to brave the odd weather and our young children put up a wonderful performance.
